Taco and Fajita Spice Mix

We love to have tacos at home. Instead of buying the package of taco seasoning, I make it myself. It is a whole lot cheaper and I always have these spices in my cupboard. I actually make about 4-5 times this recipe and keep it in a container in the cupboard.

  • 1 tbsp corn starch
  • 1 tbsp dried minced onion
  • 1 tbsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp garlic salt
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp cumin
  • 1/2 tsp onion salt
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne powder


  • To prepare with beef, brown 1-2 pounds of ground beef. Drain.
  • Add 1/2 cup water and seasoning.
  • Simmer until sauce thickens, stirring occasionally.
