I love chai. It does not matter if it is just a cup of the tea or made into a fancy drink like a chai latte. I just love the mix of spices. There is an awesome blend of spices in the tea including cardamom, cinnamon, cloves, and more. Using this blend of spices to make these chai snickerdoodles is amazing!

What Makes Snickerdoodles So Good

These cookies are a snap to make. You can throw together a batch of these and get them in the oven in a matter of minutes. Seriously! Also, I just love cookies that you roll in a ball and then toss in sugar. They come out of the oven so perfect. Snickerdoodles are sweet and crunchy on the outside but have a soft, chewy inside. They go great with a cup of tea or coffee. Or a cup of chai!

The dough for snickerdoodle cookies is very easy to make. First, use an electric mixer to cream together the butter, egg, vanilla, sugar, cream of tartar, and baking soda. Once everything is well combined, slowly beat in the flour until a smooth, well mixed, cookie dough is formed.

Roll In Chai Spiced Sugar

Take the ball of cookie dough that you have formed and place it in a small bowl of spiced sugar. Roll it around in the bowl so that the ball is completely covered and coated in the sugar mixture.

How Long To Bake Cookies In Oven

Place the baking sheet in a 375F oven and bake for 10-12 minutes. The snickerdoodles will spread and flatten a little bit, while still being slightly puffed up. This is normal and the cookie will be a little bit crispy on the outside with the sugar coating but the middle of the snickerdoodle will chewy.

Cool On Wire Rack

Use a lifter to take the snickerdoodle cookies off the baking sheet and place them on a wire rack to cool completely.
