Ingredients
1package fresh pizza dough
6slicesham
20pizza pepperoni
other pizza toppings(olives, peppers, onions, etc.)
1 1/2cupsgrated mozzarella
1 1/2cupsgrated cheddar
1egglightly beaten
1tsporegano
Instructions
Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface to an 18x12 inch rectangle.
Spread the ham, pepperoni, other pizza toppings and cheeses evenly across the top of the pizza dough leaving about a one inch space around the edge of the dough.
Along one of the wider sides of the of the dough, pull and fold it evenly on top. It should cover around half of the dough and toppings. Tuck and roll the dough and toppings again. This should leave just the edge where there is dough but no toppings. Pull that edge on top of the stromboli roll.
Pull, tuck and fold the two ends of the stromboli roll ensuring that there are no holes or gaps for the melted cheese to get out.
With a pastry brush, brush the egg mixture over the stromboli roll. Sprinkle the oregano on top.
Bake in a 350F oven for 30-40 minutes. The dough should brown up. After the allotted time, if the pizza dough still looks too light in colour, leave it in the oven for another 5-10 minutes.
Once removing the stromboli from the oven, let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
