Green Detox Cleanse Juice

Looking over my site, it would become clear fairly quickly that I am pretty open regarding what I eat. I do not follow any fat free, carb free, processed free or GMO free eating lifestyle. I would never criticize anyone that follows one of those or some other eating plan. People know their body and can sense when things are not right and there are definitely cases when limiting types of food can improve health and well-being. For myself, I strive to have balance in all aspects of life, including food. So, I eat pretty much everything, but I try not to overdo it with processed foods or dishes low in nutritional value. So, that means I will go out on occasion and have some fast food. I will also sometimes add white sugar to my coffee and I eat lots of beef and pork. But, I also ensure that I eat lots of vegetables and other nutrient rich foods.

There are times though, that the body can use a good cleanse and this juice can do just that! Kale, spinach, granny smith apples, ginger, cucumbers and limes are used to make this detox in a glass. This super juice is packed with nutrients including iron, calcium, vitamin K and powerful antioxidants like carotenoids. This is perfect for a juice cleanse or detox and I recommend having this a few days in a row to maximize the benefits. If it is not sweet enough for you, stir in a little bit of honey.

Green Juice Detox Cleanse

  • 10 kale leaves
  • Small handful spinach leaves
  • 1 english cucumber
  • 2 granny smith apples
  • 1 inch piece fresh ginger
  • 1/2 lime


  • Wash all the ingredients.
  • Cut the cucumber into small pieces.
  • Core the apples and cut into quarters.
  • Peel and quarter the lime.
  • Juice the kale, spinach and ginger, followed by the cucumber, apples and lime.
  • Mix well and serve chilled.
