Halloween is all about sweets, and this candy corn chocolate bark is the perfect treat for October 31st! Well, I look for any excuse to make chocolate bark. Over the years, I have made so many different kinds of bark. It is very versatile, and there are so many recipe possibilities, with different types of chocolate and coloured candy melts. There are also countless toppings from nuts, dried fruit, sprinkles, candy and so much more!
I love candy corn and recently I saw these colourful candy melts and it reminded me of this addictive halloween candy. Since anything with candy corn is a big win for me and my family, I knew that this chocolate bark would be a huge hit. Once it was made I had to hold everyone back, just so that I could take these pictures!
For this candy corn chocolate bark I used four different colours of candy melts. The base of the bark is dark chocolate, and drizzled all over the chocolate, are orange, yellow and white candy melts. These colours totally make the bark look like candy corn.
I get all my supplies for the candy corn chocolate bark at a local bulk food store. Leading up to Halloween, the store sells many different types of candy and baking supplies with a fall and halloween theme. Lots of orange, yellow, and black candies, gummies, sprinkles and so much more.
Since this bark is based on candy corn, I figured it would be good to top with some actual candy corn along with some Halloween style sprinkles and quins.
How to Make Chocolate Bark
I use a microwave to melt the candy melts. Just place the dark chocolate melts in a glass bowl and heat in a microwave, set to 50% power, for 4 minutes. Halfway through, pause the microwave and give the melts a mix with a rubber spatula. Once it is finished cooking, mix some more. If it is not smooth and completely melted, cook for a little longer in the microwave.
The chocolate bark is spread on a large baking sheet. I use one that is 17×12 or 18×13 inches in size. Also, line the baking sheet with parchment paper, which is great because the chocolate does not stick to it and lifts off easily once hardened.
The next step in making this candy corn chocolate bark is to melt the coloured candy melts. I start with the orange. Melt it the same way as the dark chocolate. Drizzle and splatter the orange melts all over the dark chocolate.
Repeat the same process with the yellow and white melts. This bark is so colourful and totally resembles candy corn!
Time to top with Candy Corn and Sprinkles!
After the different coloured candy melts have been drizzled all over the dark chocolate, it is time to spread the sprinkles and candy corn on top. Since there are so many colours of melts for this candy corn chocolate bark it is possible that they may have hardened by the time all the colours have been drizzled on top. If that happens, then the candy corn and sprinkles will not stick to the bark. The easy way to solve this is to place the baking sheet in a 350F oven for 30 to 60 seconds. All that is needed is for the heat of the oven to quickly melt the surface. Take the baking sheet out of the oven and spread the candy corn and sprinkles evenly across the bark.
Wait for the chocolate and candy melts to harden before breaking into pieces. You can leave it on the counter to harden, or speed it up by just popping the baking sheet in the fridge.
Once the bark has hardened, break it into different shapes and sizes. Chocolate bark is perfect for parties and gifts. I like to buy holiday gift boxes like this jack-o’-lantern take out container. Fill it with some bark and it makes a great gift for teachers, friends and more.

Candy Corn Chocolate Bark
- 2 cups dark chocolate candy melts or chips
- 1 cup orange candy melts or chips
- 1 cup yellow candy melts or chips
- 3/4 cup white chocolate candy melts or chips
- 1/2 cup candy corn
- 3 tbsp Halloween/fall coloured sprinkles (jimmies, quins or dragees)
- Line a large baking sheet (17x12 or 18x13 inch) with parchment paper.
- Place dark chocolate melts in a large glass bowl. Microwave at 50% power for 4 minutes, stirring halfway through. If the chocolate is not completely melted, microwave a little longer.
- Spread the melted dark chocolate on the parchment paper that is on the baking sheet.
- Repeat the process with orange, yellow and white candy melts. Drizzle the different colours on top of the dark chocolate.
- Evenly spread the candy corn and sprinkles across the melted chocolate.
- Place in the fridge to chill and harden. Break into chunks.
